Where is my sanity

Ever been on the brink of tears without a single, logical reason? Yeah, me too. Lately, I’ve been like an overfilled water balloon—one tiny prick away from an emotional explosion at the most inopportune moments. Perhaps while choosing avocados or standing in front of the microwave, waiting for leftovers to heat up. Ding! And just like that, here come the waterworks.

It’s absurd, isn’t it? Like waking up from a dream where you were at the concert of a lifetime, only to realize there’s no music, no band—just an avalanche of feelings. Uninvited, overwhelming, impossible to ignore. I’d love to send them to voicemail, but emotions don’t call first. They just show up, unannounced, like an overly enthusiastic party guest who doesn’t get the hint that the party was not today.

Am I losing it? Did my emotions eat some questionable leftover takeout? Or maybe, just maybe, my brain secretly subscribed to a drama series without letting me in on the plot. Plot twist: there is no plot—just an endless loop of unpredictable feelings with no clear storyline and zero commercial breaks.

But amidst this spontaneous emotional roulette, I’ve realized something. Feelings are like unscripted toddlers—sometimes they laugh for no reason, sometimes they cry because their socks feel ‘weird,’ and sometimes they throw a tantrum in the cereal aisle just because they can. And just like toddlers, they don’t need fixing. They need understanding, patience, and maybe a snack.

So, if you ever see me misty-eyed over a perfectly ripe avocado, just know that my inner toddler has decided it’s a moment. And honestly? That’s okay. Life isn’t about perfect timing or predictable emotions. It’s about embracing the mess, accepting the unexpected, and learning to ride this rollercoaster called Being Human—one teardrop, one deep breath, and one ridiculously emotional grocery trip at a time.

And if all else fails? Well, there’s always cookies. Because let’s be real—cookies make everything better.
