Eight Totally Legit Reasons Why Leaving Earth Isn't On My Agenda (Yet)

So, you ever have those days where everything just feels like one big blob of "meh"? Same. But then I run through my list of absolutely non-negotiable reasons to stay put, and things start looking up. They’re a mix of the sublime, the ridiculous, and the utterly mundane, but hey, whatever works, right?

1. Mom's Tech Support: Who will my dear mother call when her WiFi stops working, or when she can't find her favorite show on Youtube? She might have given birth to me and taught me about the real world, but have you seen her trying to handle a smartphone?

2. My Dog's Sense of Time: Let's be real; if I were gone for more than a day, my dog would probably think it’s been seven years (given their time perception). I can’t have him waiting around that long between treats and belly rubs.

3. Nephews & their Tear Ducts: These little ones. I live for the days I trick them into believing their chocolate's gone missing (only to be found in my hand, of course). Seeing them cry might sound evil, but the subsequent hugging and making up? Worth every tear.

4. Lazada Orders: I’ve got 17 items in transit. Seven! Teen! If I'm not here, who’s going to receive all those "essential" 3 AM impulsive buys? The suspense of waiting for that cat-themed mug set is real.

5. Debt to Friends: To all those friends from whom I've borrowed money with the promise of “I’ll pay you back next week” – it’s been months, I know. Can’t leave them hanging. They might hire a bounty hunter.

6. Work Know-It-All: I've accepted the role of the "Hey, quick question..." person at the office. Without me, I'm pretty sure the entire system would crash, or at the very least, they'd all be staring at jammed printers without a clue.

7. K-Drama Cliffhangers: I'm in the middle of five series, and if I don't find out if Min-Jae ever confesses his love to Ji-Yoo, what’s even the point? Priorities, right?

8. My Boyfriend’s Forever: The man has plans to give me his "forever," and I'm here waiting, ready to collect. He’s my anchor, my constant. And let's be honest, without me, who would remind him that socks don’t belong on the living room floor?

In the midst of the chaos, it's these quirky, mundane, and heartfelt anchors that remind me to hang in there. If you ever find yourself in need of a reason, remember to count the small things, because they add up. They really do. Sometimes the heaviest weight can be borne with a chuckle and some tears. Here’s to all our reasons, big and small.
