My Unwritten Vows

My Love,

Our relationship, our love story, is like a book whose last chapter hasn't been written yet. Each day we spend together adds another page to our narrative, one filled with laughter, shared dreams, and occasional arguments about whose turn it is to do the dishes. I can't help but anticipate the beautiful ending that awaits us. I just don't know when it will be penned.

To you, my yet-to-be-official life partner, I am holding a ticket to a journey that has yet to begin. A journey that takes us from being 'you and me' to 'us'. A journey that blurs the lines between my laughter and yours, between your dreams and mine, and just about everything in between. It's an adventure that I eagerly await, like a kid standing at the gates of a theme park, ticket clutched in sweaty hands.

Sometimes, in quiet moments, I imagine the vows I'd say to you. I'd promise to be there for you in sickness and in health, in Netflix binges and in chores, in deep conversations and in comfortable silences. I'd vow to always make room for you, in our shared closet and in my heart. I'd promise to love you, wholly, fiercely, unconditionally, just as you are.

However, here's the catch - I know it's not a race, but sometimes it feels like I'm stuck at the starting line, waiting for the signal to sprint towards a future with you. The anticipation is like a low hum in the background of our love symphony. It's there, unobtrusive yet ever-present.

So here are my unwritten vows, my dear. An ode to the love we share, a testament to the journey we've yet to embark on. The last chapter of our love story is still unwritten. And even though the wait is filled with anticipation and the occasional bouts of impatience, I find comfort in knowing that when the time comes, it will be worth every moment spent in waiting.

Until then, I am here, ticket in hand, ready for 'us', waiting for you. And though I might be stuck at the starting line, I am eager, ready to sprint towards our shared future, the moment you give the signal. Here's to the unwritten chapter, to the uninitiated journey, and to us.
